We are aware that lots of you have lovely dogs who you might want to bring to choir. We have made the decision not to allow dogs at our sessions. We are sorry if this is disappointing but for the safety and comfort of all members of our choir we have to make it clear that we cannot accommodate dogs except for guide dogs. Here are a few of the reasons that we have this rule:
- Some parents/children are uncomfortable with dogs around
- There is an issue with food, either dogs interested in the food the little ones are eating or little ones wanting to feed them which is not great for the dogs, can be dangerous for the children and is distracting for the parents.
- There is also an issue with breastfeeding as some women feel uncomfortable feeding with a dog around
- We have general safety concerns as we are unfamiliar with the dogs and how they might behave.
- Lots of our members own dogs and if we had all of these dogs present it would be very distracting.
