BYOB CHOIR MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This is an Agreement between you and BYOB Choir. By joining BYOB Choir you are accepting the terms and conditions in this Membership Agreement. Please only join if you are willing to accept them.

1 Your BYOB Choir Membership

  • 1.1  This Membership Agreement commences when you have committed to joining BYOB Choir in writing or paid for your classes. By doing this you are agreeing to the terms of this agreement including the obligation to pay any fees that apply to your membership

  • 1.2  In joining members are assumed to be medically fit to take part in BYOB classes. If you have any doubts please talk to us before joining.

  • 1.3  You agree to let us know of any changes to your contact details or those of the emergency contact details you have given us.

  • 1.4  You agree to use all BYOB Choir class resources shared with you during your membership for your personal use only.

2 Choirs and Rehearsals

  • 2.1  If classes are cancelled due to illness or events outside of our control e.g. weather, power failure etc. BYOB Choir may move the class online or try to provide alternative rehearsal time. If we are not able to offer you an alternative class we will issue you with credit or a refund on request. Please make refund requests in writing within 3 months of the cancelled class.

  • 2.2  If you cannot make a class on any given week you are welcome to attend on another day that week provided there is capacity in the alternative class. Please check with the administrator or your choir leader beforehand. 

3 Fees

  • 3.1  Please pay us any membership fees before the start of each term or at a time mutually agreed between you and BYOB Choir. 

  • 3.2  It is your responsibility to ensure fees are paid successfully and any overdue amounts will be payable in full.

  • 3.3  Paying for the class before the start of each term secures you a place. Usually the full balance must be paid. If you would like to pay in instalments or request a reduced fee due to financial hardship you are very welcome to but this must be agreed in writing with BYOB Choir before the start of term.

4 Cancellation by you

  • 4.1  If after your first session with the choir you decide that it is not for you, you are entitled to request a refund for the remaining sessions. Upon request we will refund you the fees paid for the remainder of the term less the cost of rehearsals/membership up to the date of cancellation.

5 Behaviours and Code of Conduct

  • 5.1 At BYOB Choir we aim to create a safe and positive space for all our members, leaders and staff. Therefore we expect our staff and members to take responsibility to ensure that they themselves and others in the group feel safe and welcome in the space. If you have any concerns about your own or others well being in our choir setting please let us know.

6 Filming and Social Media

  • 6.1  As a member you agree that photo and video images as well as audio and video recordings may be taken of you and your child/ren in the choir context and used for advertising and marketing BYOB Choir including:
    – Printed and digital material including publications and advertising
    – Websites and social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, blogs and Flickr)
    – Presentations, exhibitions and posters
    Unless expressly communicated to us you consent to inclusion in these. We will always ask you for your permission when we are actually taking photos.

  • 6.2  Members and their families/friends will be allowed to film or photograph BYOB Choir shows if the venue allows.

  • 6.3 We request that any film and photographs taken of the choir by members and audience be for personal use only unless you have asked choir members when taking the footage.

7 Intellectual Property Ownership

  • 7.1  The music, arrangements, materials and resources we use in BYOB Choir are owned by BYOB Choir, its licensors, or other third party rights holders.

  • 7.2  All such rights are protected by Intellectual Property law. In becoming a member or taking part in any BYOB event it is agreed that any use of BYOB Choir Materials will be solely used for BYOB Choir purposes.

8 Personal Data and Communications

  • 8.1  You agree that you have read and understood our privacy policy which is available at http://byobchoir.co.uk/byobchoir/index.php/privacy-policy

  • 8.2  By becoming a member of BYOB Choir you consent to receiving communications relating to your membership, local singing events, shows and opportunities.

  • 8.3  We may communicate BYOB Choir related information to you by email, text or WhatsApp.

  • 8.4  You can opt out of email and phone communications that we may send but please be aware that you may miss out on important BYOB Choir communications.

  • 8.5  We use trusted third party services to manage some aspects of BYOB Choir membership. We will never sell or give your data to anyone else.

9 Liability

  • 9.1 BYOB Choir will not be held responsible for damage to person or damage to, loss or theft of personal belongings whilst attending rehearsals/performances.

10 Other / General

  • BYOB Choir may update these terms and conditions from time to time. We will notify you via email of any changes that we make.
